Cheers to Chris & Marli both from Vancouver Canada and now living and working in Bandai-machi Fukushima as language instructors and having found themselves snowed under there by record falls of 6 feet or more decided to head into Tokyo to take in the Sumo semi-finals tomorrow night. After an overwhelming trudge down through Takeshita-dori they saw our Design festa Cafe & Bar sign and …….well, here they both are enjoying tequila in the garden, ” this place…..funky! very fresh!”
Thanx for coming Chris & Marli! Enjoy the sumo, good luck on your club quest tonight and see you next time!

“I live in Harajuku and make a point of stopping in at the Design Festa Cafe & Bar for my daily coffee fix on route to work in Shinjuku, the service is great, staff are friendly and the Gallery itself is so unique, like nothing i’ve seen before!”
Thanks for stopping by Vicki, enjoy your coffee!
My friend and much missed Design Festa Gallery staff member and ace photographer Jire Go (left) paid us a welcome visit today with her former University of Frankfurt mate Lena, a recent graduate in social sciences and here today near the end of her first ever trip to Japan, a trip which has seen both friends take in all that Tokyo and Kyoto has to offer, says Lena “i’m here to catch up with Jire and also to ponder my working future…..Design Festa Gallery is a comfortable place to do just that! I wish Jire had brought me here at the very start of my trip!”
Good to see you Jire! Nice meeting you Lena! Good Luck!
