Monthly report for June have been posted!
In June, during PLANET.09 [Harajuku Zoo] had unique animal and phantom beasts here, in addition to many animal characters exhibited at the gallery!Also there appeared a huge pink giraffe in WEST 1-A and 1-B, unique elephants graphic, cute rabbits and chilled out cat's photography etc.....
In addition, a highly original exhibition was held where visitors "sold" their time to the artists in return for an artistic 'coin'! not forgetting successful Autumn/ winter apparel exhibitions, and a yukata ( cotton kimono ) in advance of summer heat!

The Monthly Report for April has been posted!
In April, Planet.08 was a completely cute success with many visitors and couples enjoying our
"Kawaii" artist's original interpretations on this very popular theme. A big thank you to all exhibitors
and visitors for making DESIGN FESTA PLANET.08 such fun!
Also there were Live painting by an Australian artist, a one day limited kimono aloha shirts shop , and a huge elephant objet appeared at EAST and more!

The Monthly Report for March has been posted!
In March, many types of graduation exhibitions were held attracting crowds of visitors!
Including a French couple who played a gig and an art performance at EAST, and two Philippine brothers who exhibit their first exhibition here not forgetting many companies new collection campaigns etc...
Additionally, there was a university teachers group exhibition, and a unique graduation ceremony with photograph exhibition.

150 Artists' expressions gathered in all spaces of EAST and it got crowded with more than 1,500 visitors!
This month also saw various exhibitions including graduation exhibitions, unique fashion,

The monthly report for December has been posted!
This month, the Art Piece spaces were themed on " Christmas " as well as many other exhibitions in our EAST & WEST galleries.
Including a performance theatre group using a huge stage, also original Indian curries cooked by artists using our one day EAST Kitchen plan, delicate craft jewelry, not forgetting our well attended christmas party with each guest enjoying a plate of turkey and a free glass of wine!

Monthly report for November has been posted!
Energetic exhibitions held in November.
There were various exhibitions such as art students from Fukushima with their large scale exhibitions at EAST & WEST galleries, an exhibition from a clothes company,multimedia installations. Also a Korean artist who had exhibited at Design Festa vol.28 and exhibited here before returnig home. And a gorgeous sawori texture exhibition.

Monthly report for October, posted!
October also saw many unique exhibitions and performances at Design Festa Gallery!
Our Gallery project, DESIGN FESTA PLANET 06 "Japone Panic! A gathering of japanese subculture!" saw a huge success with 400 visitors each day, a haunted house, clown performances and more! Moreover, an exhibition that was filled with artwork from floor to ceiling and also a limited restaurant that attracted a crowd, all adding up to October being a very rich and un-forgetable month!

Monthly Report for August has been posted!
A variety of unique exhibitions were held in August. There was an energetic exhibition from London art students, using a Mini-cooper to promote childrens clothing, while EAST 201 used eyeballs as their theme!
We also had a Japanese tea ceremony and a Yukata party! Visitors, exhibitors and staff were wearing Yukata that really captured the summer and enjoyed great Japanese tea!

EAST 101 New Layout!
EAST 101(67 meter square room) has started having new layout, using movable partitions to make 7 separated Spaces! This new plan allows you to make the best use of this wide space. The partitions are ideal for group exhibitions. Occupying these flexible 7 spaces will feel just like our Design Festa event!?
EAST 101 is still available to use whole wide space, or use it as 2 separated rooms, please find your favorite way to fit your exhibition!

More space for Art Piece (525 yen/day) at Design Gallery EAST!
Encouraged by the popularity of our West gallery Art Piece Room, more Art Piece spaces have newly been added at our East gallery!
There are now 61 spaces in all available for paintings, CD playing, promotion and selling, etc! It is also possible to use these spaces for school and culture club exhibitions and walk-in exhibitions by sightseers visiting Tokyo. Your artwork can be sent in and set up for those living outside Tokyo and also overseas too!

This will be a chance to screen your work in any genre such as Animation, Drama, Documentary, Promotion Video and Experimental movie, etc for a week!
This PLANET 06 will feature Japanese sub-culture and Fashion Shows and performances are welcome! There are only a few spaces left, so please apply as early as possible in order to participate!

Brand new project, Guru Guru Fashion Show!
July's heat saw a unique fashion show take place, using our EAST&WEST gallery and even Sakuratei as one huge catwalk, line-ups paraded providing their own music on-route!
This impromptu fashion parade surprised and delighted the many startled onlookers who gathered to watch!
July being the summer vacation term, the galleries were filled with many hot and energetic exhibtions by students and foreign artists from Hong Kong and Korea!

Quirky Spaces Exhibition!

For this hot summer week, we are looking for artists who would like to use spaces such as Art Piece, Shower Rooms and Wash Rooms in the EAST Gallery for exhibitions!
Try to express your art in a tightly packed Art Piece which is similar to a toy box. Walk-in exhibitions are also welcome! We can even set up your exhibition for those artists who live far away. A 20 inch TV is also available to screen your work in the WEST Gallery.
Why not challenge yourself to design a never-before-seen Shower Room and/or Wash Room? We are looking forward to your participation!

Also colorful figures, mysterious installations consisting of short movies, cute accessories and sundries, rooms totally transformed by university art groups, etc captivated many visitors. Art Piece at EAST Gallery! Available Now!
Encouraged by the popularity of our West gallery Art Piece Room, more Art Piece spaces are now available at our East gallery! Display artwork for 525 yen per day.
This space is like a toy box where many artists' work are packed in. Children's painting, CD playing, promotion and selling, etc, Come and exhibit at Art Piece! Advance booking of these prominent spaces is advised, but walk-in inquires are also welcomed, too! Your artwork can be sent in and set up for those living outside Tokyo and also overseas too!
525 yen / day , 3,150 yen / week
Exhibition areas are available for rent for any length of time starting with increments of 1 day. No limits of spaces to rent.
